Organic Horse Feed, Minerals and Supplements

Modesto Milling has been providing horse-appropriate loose grains, nutrient and mineral products for some time and recently added Organic Horse Supplement Pellets (which works as a ration balancer) to our product line. Our newest formulation, Organic Horse PLUS #675, a nutritionally balanced full feed, has been added to complement the horse line.  PLUS stands for Performance, Leisure, Universal and Senior horses.

A healthful diet based on good quality forage is ideal for the horse, but even the healthiest forage-based diet can be lacking in important nutrients. Modesto Milling’s horse feeds are scientifically formulated to bring balance into a horse's diet. Horse PLUS is for the horse that needs balance and more calories than a forage-only diet can provide. For the horse who maintains weight well on a forage-only diet, Horse Supplement Pellet is the perfect complement to pasture or grass or alfalfa hay. Click here for energy content comparisons.

Modesto Milling uses the highest quality organic ingredients in our horse feeds. We use only the best organic oats, barley and alfalfa, as well as organic coconut meal which is high in digestible fiber and healthy fats that promote healthy coats. We use organic peas for high quality protein that promotes muscular strength; flax seeds and sunflower seeds for the omega 3 and omega 6 fats; and we also add organic stabilized rice bran for its fat and low starch content. We add supplements like natural vitamin E and biotin for healthy coats and hooves. Additional quality ingredients include diatomaceous earth, zeolite, yeast, sea kelp and other essential nutrients. The essential oils and herbs give the products a unique flavor that horses will enjoy.

Our horse feeds are organic and contain no GMOs. Additionally, they are formulated without corn or corn byproducts; soy or soy byproducts; wheat or wheat byproducts; or molasses. The feeds are ideal for horses with sensitivities or allergies to these ingredients, as well as for owners and breeders that just want to avoid corn, soy, wheat or molasses-based feeds.

Modesto Milling is always on the lookout for new ingredients and supplements that will help meet your feed goals and contribute to the optimal health of your favorite equine friends.
